Peregrine's Albatross Conservation Projects.
Since 2001, Peregrine has raised around A$500,000 through company,
client and staff contributions. From modest beginnings, we continue to
support a range of albatross conservation initiatives around the globe.
We work both at international policy level and at ‘grass roots’ level,
targetting those projects that have the potential to make the greatest
impact on albatross conservation. We have established partnerships with
the world’s leading authorities, scientists and conservation bodies and
work closely with them towards halting albatross attrition throughout
the birds’ Southern Ocean range.
In addition to making
a real impact on albatross conservation, Peregrine aims to set a
tourism industry benchmark for ‘Responsible Tourism’ commitment,
inspiring other tourism operators to follow our lead.
Our projects include:
Southern Ocean Initiative: WWF – the Conservation Fund.
Albatross and Prion Islands Conservation Programme
Seabirds Funds Advisory Group.
