Annie Li (China)

Annie is from Xian and joined our Peregrine team 2 years ago. She has a wide range of knowledge of China - culture, history and people. On her tours, everyone can enjoy thousands of stories about Chinese history and the best Chinese local food. She also loves telling jokes, always ready to share her humour with travellers.

Qualifications:
She worked as a local guide for 4 years before she joined Peregrine.

Achievements:
Annie recently won our coveted Tour Leader of the Year award for 2006.

Langer Wong (China)

Langer Wong Guiming grew up in Dali, a town set amongst the mountains of the beautiful Yunnan Province of China. With an energy and enthusiasm for working with people, he started in tourism as a local guide in Dali, arranging camping trips. Langer leads Peregrine's trips through his home region of Yunnan and his love of the area, and of the outdoors, will shine through.

Qualifications:
A veritable "jack of all trades" he also worked in hotels and organised exhibitions in art galleries, before joining Peregrine as a tour leader in 2002.

Achievements:
He has an extensive knowledge of local handicrafts and various ethnic minority customs, and he also knows all the great places to hang out during the evenings!

Mao Qi (China)

Mao has been leading our tours for several years and become one of our very experienced leaders. She tries every effort to make all our clients enjoy the tour and feel comfortable. She also always organizes activities during free time for those who want to participant. Most feedback from her tours are excellent. One of the passengers wrote:" We were delighted with Mao Qi. We think she made a huge difference to our holiday as she not only ran the tour very well and smoothly but also made the extra effort to share all about her cultures with the Group...”

Achievements:
Mao was nominated for our 2005 Tour Leader of the Year award.

James Xue Zhongdao (China)

James hails from the ancient city of xian, capital of shaanxi province and home to the famous Terracotta Warriors. James is a keen mahjong player in his spare time – so he can teach you how to master this unique Chinese game. A great lover of food, he knows all the best places to eat and will also be able to teach you the finer skills of bargaining when visiting the markets.

Qualifications:
Originally a school teacher by profession, James was soon lured by his love of travel and became a tour guide.

Achievements:
He started working for Peregrine in 1999 and has become one of our most experienced and respected tour leaders.
