Peregrine Adventures
We want you to have a great holiday experience, so we only run our trips during the times of year that are suitable for travel.

Vietnam
Vietnam has a climate suitable for travel year round. During winter (November to April) the north can be cool with light rain, while the south is cool and dry, turning hot and humid in March and April. In summer (May to October) the north is hot and humid with intermittent monsoon rains, while the south has short heavy afternoon bursts of rain.

Thailand
There is no inappropriate time for travelling in Thailand. From March to June central and northern Thailand are hot and dry. From June to October the rains generally fall in short, refreshing bursts, and the south has monsoons. From November to February is the cooler dry season, with monsoons in the east coast until January.

Cambodia and Laos
Between May and early October the monsoon brings strong winds and quite heavy rain, which helps to temper the otherwise high humidity. The dry season, with cooler temperatures, is from November to March.

Borneo
Borneo has an equatorial climate and is hot and humid all year round, with the exception of Mount Kinabalu, which can be extremely cold on the upper slopes and summit. The dry season in Sabah and Sarawak is from March to September.

Burma
Burma has three distinct seasons. It is cool from October to February (20° - 28°C), hot from March to early June (up to 45°C in the central region) and rainy from early June to September. It can be much cooler in the areas of high altitude, such as the hill station of Maymyo and the Inle lake region.

Papua New Guinea
The climate is hot and very humid all year round, with a high level of rainfall between December and March, when it is virtually impossible to go trekking. May to October is considered the dry season, although it is not unusual to encounter rain during this period.
